APA Film Launches Verizon FiOS DC APA Film Festival Trailer Contest
Washington, DC (June 1, 2006) Asian Pacific American (APA) Film launches the Verizon FiOS 2006 DC APA Film Festival Trailer Contest on June 1, 2006.
APA Film is now accepting submissions for original video or film trailers, 60 seconds or less, to promote the 7th Annual DC APA Film Festival. The Festival runs Thursday, Sep 28 through Saturday, Oct 7, 2006 throughout the Washington, DC area, including the Smithsonian Institution, Landmark Theatres, and the American Film Institute.
One winner will receive $1,000, and the winning entry will be screened before the opening night film on Thursday, Sep 28, 2006. The winner will be chosen from a group of finalists by public vote on the DC APA Film website, http://www.apafilm.org, and at promotional events leading up to the festival.
All submissions must be received or postmarked by Friday, Aug 25, 2006.

The mission of the DC APA Film Festival is to bring attention to the creative output from Asian Pacific American and Asian diaspora communities and encourage the artistic development of APA films in the Washington, DC area by showcasing short film programs, documentaries, and feature-length films by Asian filmmakers based in North America and abroad.
