The Nichi Bei Times interviews Richard Wong, director of festival hit "Colma: the Musical." Here's an excerpt with a bit of news:
“It’s a hard movie to market,” Wong explains. “All the gay distributors don’t think the film’s gay enough, all the Asian distributors don’t think it’s Asian enough. People like labels, and labels help sell.Click here for the full interview.“We didn’t make it to sell anyways,” he concedes, though. “And just the fact that it is gonna sell is pretty amazing.”
A theatrical run is expected sometime next year.
