Philip W. Chung is one of five Korean American filmmakers selected for the Korean Film Council�s Film Development Lab program. He writes about the experience for AsianWeek. Here's an excerpt:
... the main thing I took away from the festival is the formation of a more global perspective for me and my fellow Asian Pacific American filmmakers. In the past few years, the Asian film industry has become a powerhouse in every way. One producer I met at PIFF basically framed the situation this way � "In America you have a lot of experienced producers but very little money. In Asia, you have a lot of money but not many experienced producers."
