The A/P/A Institute at NYU screens Eric Byler's "Americanese" at 7 pm on May 3 at the Cantor Film Center, 36 East 8th Street, Theater 101, New York City. Adachi will attend and speak. From the announcement:

First and foremost a love story, "Americanese" reveals the heartbreaking dissures caused by prejudice within an interracial family, and the discord it causes in interracial romance, with a tenor of realism and subtlety taht can only be realized when people of color tell their own stories.
