Stephen T. Maing's "Little Hearts" wins Slamdance Audience Award

02.11.03

Stephen T. Maing's brilliant short film "Little Hearts" picked up the Audience Award for Short Film at the 2003 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

As summarized by the Slamdance website, "This film captures a brief moment in an unexpected friendship between a lonely Korean boy and the mysterious twins he befriends while visiting his grandmother’s apartment."

Featuring amazing, naturalistic performances by its three child actors and an eerie but funny tone perfectly in sync with adolescent confusion, "Little Hearts" will play at 7 p.m., Thursday, February 13, at the American Cinematheque in Los Angeles as part of the Best of Slamdance series.
