The festival is the culmination of the 72 Hour Feature Project, a competition in which twelve filmmakers were selected to shoot and edit feature films in 72 hours. Judges will select winners at the screenings, which take place June 20-26, with winners screened June 28, 30, and July 2.
"When we look back at the entire experience of putting together a cast and crew in less than six weeks, and shooting and editing a 76 page script in 72 hours, we shake our heads in astonishment," says Lee. "So much could have gone wrong at every step, no question about it. We can't give enough credit to our cast and crew for devoting their creative energies to solve any problem that came their way in helping to make this the best film we could make."
Lee's film tells the story of a security guard dealing with office politics and paranoia when a wall is vandalized on his first day on the job. The film stars Kevin Jackson as the guard, Ron Domingo ("Robot Stories") as his supervisor, and Arnold Kim as the C.E.O.
