This is terrible. The acting, cinematography, and script. Overly symbolic, trite, completely pointless & unrealistic plot, and insincere acting. What??

Posted by: jackie on September 29, 2005 09:51 PM

hell yea

Acting could be a little more convincing, the actors need to relax a little bit. The ending was great though, a big twist.

Very interesting film, with a definite surprise ending. The acting quality could be improved, but the plot and ending twist evened it out. I rate it about a 2 out of 4 stars.

whoa! i thought it was a good short. only thing is, what girl - even if she was dumped - would kill herself over some guy? *rolls eyes* also, the female actress who played the dumpee has a great yelling voice. it all played out well in the end, even the white chick's mom who looked like Frankenstein! haha! keep up the good work! hope to see more! ;)

hey, i have to say that this was the worst short i've ever seen. The bf was a terrible actor, and the girl was a terrible actor, the script was terrible. I find it very hard to believe that the bullets would actually go through the ceiling, through the bed and into the mom's body, that's unrealistic. Also the sound of the clock counting down till death was very annoying. But on a lighter note, it was a good try on making a good film.

I like this film. I think it's the best one on this site. BUT I don't see why as an Asian filmmaker you show other Asians so negatively. The guy is a cheater and an asshole, and the girl is a cold blooded killer, and the mother is innocent. What do you have against Asians? Why do you depict them so poorly?

I thought the end product was not as powerful as the script. I wish you could have experimented with more choatic scenes ( maybe a lot of quick cuts?) So that the audience has no other choice but to hold their breath until the successful gunshots. After all, you only have two minutes to make an impact. If the woman was more hysterical about her boyfriend cheating, maybe the attempted suicide would have made more sense. Congratulations! Hope to see more of your work in the future.

just want to say decent effort, but c'mon if anyone is praising this type of stuff then we seriously have problems. this is second grade work compared to whats out there in film. sorry to be harsh, but standards should be higher for us AA. thanks for hearing me out.

Very unrealistic. Did she just happen to have a gun under the pillow. Her boyfriend was too insensitve to be true. ( he was a really bad actor) The post work is what saved the short.

I like the whole concept, that at the end someone's going to die. The flashbacks were cut very well into the script, one of them even sounding like a gunshot. Good effects, good variation of shots. The only complaint I have is that the girlfriend's mom is seemingly innocent in this whole mess, and for her to die seems a bit... unacceptable. But overall, it's a good effort. Thanks for your film.

Destined to be a hit. Asians in film, particularly pacific islanders, are bound to go mainstream. Look for Mr. De Leon to challenge the status quo and open a new world of open film to bridge the digital divide.

What was that ending all about? I don't understand. Why on earth does she fire to the ceiling all of sudden? Did she know her boyfriend's NEW girlfriend's mom was there lying in bed? If she didn't know and say she JUST fired it, what does this mean then? I can't find an answer. Someone explains to me plz.

Don, I read the script a while back and it was good. Right now I'm trying to download it but can't get the Media player plugin (said server may be busy). So I'll try again later. Can't wait to see it. Then I can give another comment. Everyone says what's up from Virginia man. We miss you bro.

I saw Passport in Vancouver, and when you think about it, this short is more controversial than the american flag burning. I can see why some people won’t like it. Very daring.

Good job bro! I like the squib action you got going on there. I was wondering how you wee gonna pull off the window shot. It worked really well. Quick paced and to the point. I dunno how you find time to do it all. Good luck on the feature.
