I like the movie of David Ishii. He is my friend. When I had surgery David took care of me (We were neighbors back then) He would fix me dinner and deliever it on a tray. We would go to the opera together and out for noodles. Last Spring I spent an entire day vacuuming his shop. I emptied the bag to my vacuum 5 or 6 times. I painted the painting in the photograph David holds up to the camera. You did a good thing to make that nice movie of David.

I liked what I could see of the video but it kept stopping on us. The sight of the bookshop brought back many good memories. I can't wait to see the movie.

Doug -- Have loved your tribute to David Ishii every time I've seen it (about 6 times now). You've really captured both his essence and that of Seattle's Pioneer Square. While you're in Evanston, have you had a chance to document the Baha'i House of Worship in Wilmette? I saw a whole stack of Baha'i books in David's store recently. Thanks. thederb@att.net
