SYNOPSIS: The 16mm narrative featurette TIE A YELLOW RIBBON is an hour-long, lyrical exploration into the subconscious dream world of three troubled Asian-American girls.

[SANDY] 20's Chinese American, spunky and efficient. Full of positive energy, a nice girl from a small town. Her personal style is average American. [LEAD]

[BEA] 18-20's Asian American, beautiful model-type, hip and edgy, with a self-destructive desire to be wanted and loved. [LEAD]

[JENNY] 20's Korean adoptee w/ dyed blonde hair. Damaged emotionally. Grew up in a small Midwestern town. Has issues with abandonment and identity. [LEAD]

[YOUNG SANDY] 5-7 yrs old, Chinese American, shy but spunky, imaginative, time period: late 1970s. [LEAD]

[BILLY] White male, 7 yrs. old, red-head, talkative, provincial time: late 1970s. [LEAD]

[SIREN QUEEN] 30-40ís Asian, regal, bewitching, mesmerizing. [LEAD]

[TEENAGE JENNY] 14 yrs old, Korean adoptee, conflicted about her identity. Has a Farrah Fawcett haircut. Time period: 1980s. [LEAD]

[MARY/OFFICE MANAGER] Dual role of Jennyís blonde Midwestern mother Mary and aggressive, intimidating Office Manager of a photography studio, late 30s-early 40s. [LEAD]

[PHILLIP] White, early 30s, erudite, sensual, cold, dangerous, has an Asian fetish. [LEAD]

[JOE] White, (age 17 and late 20s), Jennyís blonde brother, provincial, high-school dropout.

[MRS. WELLSTONE] White, 30s-40s, 2nd grade teacher, motherly, warm, provincial.

[YOUNG JENNY] 6 yrs old, Korean adoptee w/ slight accent. Time period: 1970s.

[YOUNG BEA] 10 yrs old, Asian American, smart, tidy, pretty.

[KEN] 20's Asian-American, bookish, supportive, caring, loves his girlfriend.

[GRANDMOTHER] 60, Vietnamese, fresh off the boat, nurturing, inner strength.

Darn it, if only I live in NYC would I be able to go on auditions.

I live all the way south of San Francisco!

But good luck to all those auditioning and I hope we get a great cast!
