Silkscreens, the Boston Asian American Independent Film Festival, opens tonight! Features include Jimmy Lee's "Close Call," Eric Byler's "Charlotte Sometimes," and Shih-Ching Tsou and Sean Baker's "Take Out." Guests include Annie Lee ("Close Call"); Eric Byler, Eugenia Yuan, Michael Idemoto, Kimberly Rose, and Matt Westmore ("Charlotte Sometimes"); and keynote speaker Greg Pak ("Robot Stories").

In other Boston action this weekend, Greg Pak will be signing copies of his comic book "Warlock" Saturday from 1-3 at Million Year Picnic in Harvard Square.
