Eric Byler makes video for Jim Webb's Senate campaign

10.27 - Posted by Editor

Asian American filmmaker Eric Byler, whose feature film "AMERICANese" plays tomorrow at the Hawaii International Film Festival and has just been picked up by IFC Films, is using his filmmaking talents in a new realm -- politics.

Byler, who nabbed the "Hero of the Day" designation from the progressive political website AsiansVote.com for speaking out against Republican Senator George Allen of Virginia's infamous "macaca" comments, has created a five minute video about a multiracial group of volunteers for Allen's opponent, Democrat Jim Webb.
