KSCI LA 18 TO AIR LIVE TSUNAMI RELIEF TELETHONSATURDAY, JANUARY 1, 2005, 1:00PM - 5:00PM
In an effort to address the urgent needs of the victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami disaster, KSCI LA 18 is teaming with non-profit organizations, World Vision & The Red Cross, to air a telethon on New Year’s Day 2005. The Tsunami Relief Telethon hopes to raise funds to be donated directly to the Red Cross and World Vision specifically for relief efforts for those devastated areas of the world.
Sheeraz Hasan of Tinseltown TV, a well-recognized personality in the South Asian American community and Hollywood, will host the program and other KSCI-TV on-air personalities, including news anchors Ursula Huang, Harry Chang, and Juliette Zhou, will join him. The program is scheduled to have interviews with various international and local dignitaries as well as religious figures and celebrities. It will also provide current news updates and footage from the ravaged areas.
