A tantalizing short film based on the short story "Kankal” written by renowned Bengali Author and Noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore. This is a story of young woman struggling with life, love and family after her husband’s death and her shunning by his superstitious family. The young woman, Shabitree, finds refuge in her brother’s house and finds love in the eyes of a young Doctor, but her Hindu faith does not allow her to remarry. As the story unfolds the audience will witness a young girls struggle to find happiness in this life and the next. |
