The APA First Weekend Film Club is an email alert designed to mobilize audiences for Asian American film openings. Maintained by David Magdael of Visual Communications, the Club works in three easy steps:
- Once or twice a month, David sends APA First Weekend Film Club announcements about upcoming Asian American film openings to the organizations which are club members.
- The organizations then send the APA First Weekend announcements to their own members.
- Thousands of us swarm to the screenings and Hollywood reels in amazement over this huge audience for Asian American films.
